Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to You!We hope that your holiday season is bright and cheerful. We hope that you are surrounded by people who love you. If for some reason you cannot be home this Christmas, we hope that you will have beautiful memories to draw from. Hopefully, you will be able to use modern technology to talk with your loved ones. Most of all, we hope only the best for you!
We are so grateful for Our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are grateful that he was willing to be born on this earth and take upon himself all of our weaknesses and transgressions so that he could become our advocate with the father. In this way, even though justice prevails, his mercy and grace can compensate for our shortcomings. He did this because of his endless love for us. Our Heavenly Father allowed Jesus to become our savior because He loves us: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son." (Holy Bible) Even though we do not fully understand why this had to be, we are forever grateful for both Our Father in Heaven and Our Savior Jesus Christ. We remember them as we celebrate the beginning of this process; the birth of the baby Jesus.
This past year has been full of so many wonderful surprises. We have been joyfully reunited with some long lost family members and friends via Facebook. We have found some ancestors and photos through our genealogical research in trying to piece together our family histories. Some of our grown up children have moved on and traveled: One went to China, one went to an Ivy League school for grad studies, one went to the oil industry in North Dakota! We have grandchildren on the way and we could not be more happy about that! Grandbabies must be the reward for making it through all those teenage years!
If I did not just find my own face on a website which is hosted on the other side of earth, I would be happy to post some family photos here. Please just email me if you want to see some photos! Or we can hook up on Facebook.
Have a very Merry Christmas! And we hope your 2012 is very prosperous! With lots of love from our home to yours!
